The bride-to-bachelorette be’s party serves as a type of “last hurrah” before she transitions from “Miss to Mrs.” The ideal bachelorette party for the bride is often planned by her best friends or the maid of honor.

It’s the last countdown: your wedding is only one week away. Cue the butterflies because this is a very exciting time, but there are a few final items on the wedding planning checklist that you must do before walking to the altar, ranging from significant duties to minor minutiae. It may all seem a little daunting, so don’t be hesitant to ask for help in the days leading up to your wedding—your friends and family will most likely be pleased to help! Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!
Use our week-of wedding checklist to help you prepare during the next several days.
1. Pamper Yourself
Now is the time to treat yourself to a spa treatment. Plan a day of pampering with your bridal party or spend some time alone! Get a relaxing massage and a refreshing facial. This is an excellent approach to taking care of yourself while simultaneously preparing for the wedding day. With only a week till the wedding, you can get your nails done. For your nails to last throughout your honeymoon, get a long-lasting option. Visit your stylist for a new haircut. There are numerous ways to treat oneself before the wedding!
2. Practice your Vows
We don’t recommend waiting until the last minute (and certainly not the night before) to write your wedding vows, so if you haven’t already decided what you’ll say during the ceremony, now is the time. Once you’ve completed your vows, read them aloud to yourself at least once before the wedding, or more if you want to memorize them. Even if you intend to read your vows from a piece of paper, the butterflies in your tummy may catch you off guard on your wedding day. You’ll probably feel more at ease if you’ve practiced your vows ahead of time.
3. Make Unnecessary Changes
The week before your wedding is not the time to choose new flowers, redo signage, or change any venue spaces that do not require it. You’ll spend too much time worrying about what’s possible and not enough time enjoying what should be one of your most unforgettable moments.
4. Rehearse the Ceremony
Typically, the day before your wedding, you and your partner will meet at your venue with your wedding party, immediate family, planner, and officiant to walk through the ceremony. Normally, your wedding planner, venue organizer, and/or officiant will manage the show, ensuring that everyone understands when to walk and where to stand during the ceremony. What’s the best part? After that, you get to celebrate with a rehearsal supper!
5. Emergency Kit
If you do not have a planner who brings his or her Emergency Kit, it is crucial to pack a bag with everything you might need if there is an issue on the day of your wedding, such as a stain, rip, cut, or headache. We recommend including a tiny mending kit, time-to-go pens, Advil/ibuprofen, small scissors, and extra water/snacks in your emergency bag.
6. Pre-Write Vendor Thank You Cards
There is still more to write before the wedding! Write thank you cards for your vendors and, if necessary, include their gratuity within the card. A handwritten thank you note will go a long way. Many times, you have been planning with your vendors for over a year, so they will appreciate the sincerity! The right vendor and venue team will be committed to your love story and will work hard to make your dream day a reality.
7. Final Payments
When you provide your final headcount, many vendors will require final payment. If there are stragglers, ask if you can pay early so you don’t have to deal with numbers on your wedding day or worry about transferring money while you’re gone on your honeymoon.
8. Pack Your Suitcase
Are you going on your honeymoon soon after your wedding? Pack two suitcases the week before your wedding: one with all the necessities for your wedding weekend, and another with clothes and toiletries for the trip.
